FAQ
Stardome Comedy Club is located at 1818 Data Drive Birmingham AL 35244.
All shows are 18+.
Stardome provides plenty of well-lit parking adjacent to the club.
Like most premier comedy clubs nationwide, we utilize a traditional two-item showroom minimum per person. This business framework is highly beneficial for our guests because it allows us to keep upfront live performance ticket prices as low and accessible as possible.
Do I have to purchase alcoholic beverages to meet the minimum?
Not at all. Unlike standard "two-drink minimums" that require alcohol purchases, our policy applies to any two items on our menu. This means you can easily fulfill the showroom minimum with non-alcoholic refreshments, sodas, bottled water, hot appetizers, or desserts.
Note: Food and drinks purchased at the front bar or lobby lounge prior to entering the main showroom do not apply to the internal showroom minimum.
Because our showroom operates as a full-service theater during a live performance, a large percentage of guests place their food and drink orders at nearly the same time just before the show begins. To enjoy the fastest service, we recommend arriving when doors open (typically 45 to 60 minutes before showtime). Ordering your meals, appetizers, and cocktails early gives our kitchen and bar teams the best opportunity to serve you before the lights dim and the performance starts.
We're continually investing in technology and operations to improve service speed, including recent upgrades to our point-of-sale network and wireless infrastructure to help servers process orders more efficiently. While these improvements have made a meaningful difference, arriving early remains the best way to minimize wait times during our busiest service window.
Our kitchen specializes in high-quality, classic American Pub Fare and casual bites designed to complement a high-energy comedy show. Rather than offering complicated fine dining service that distracts from the performance, our menu features quick, delicious, and reliable comfort foods like shareable appetizers, finger foods, and pub snacks. It is the perfect casual menu to nosh on while enjoying world-class stand-up.
Yes. An 18% gratuity is automatically added to all showroom food and beverage tabs and will be clearly itemized on your final bill. This ensures our hard-working service staff receives fair, reliable, and competitive compensation for managing fast-paced theater volumes.
No additional tip is required. Depending on the payment method, your receipt may still include an additional tip line, but it is entirely optional and should only be used if you choose to recognize exceptional service beyond the gratuity already included.
Prices listed on the event include all fees (before taxes). A full breakout of your ticket will be shown during checkout. The service fees helps cover the costs of putting on the show. They are shared between the various organizing parties, and may include a profit to them.
Tickets can be pre-purchased online. If you are having issues, call our box office at 205.444.0008.
Please Note: Tickets are only available through stardome.com, and ticket resale is strictly prohibited. Tickets suspected of being purchased for the sole purpose of reselling will be canceled at the discretion of Stardome Comedy Club. For more information, click HERE.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
- General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Reserved seats are pre-assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned.
Please Note: We do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee seats in a specific location or that your party will have a table to themselves.
The Stardome features a classic, high-energy cabaret and theater-style seating arrangement designed to place you as close to the comedic action as possible. Stand-up comedy is an inherently social, shared art form—and science shows that laughter is truly contagious! To foster that electric room energy, our tables are arranged to bring comedy fans together. While you will be sharing table space with fellow fans during our popular sold-out performances, this classic setup guarantees an unforgettable night of collective energy and community fun.
The venue, including the box office, will open 1 hour before shows starting between 3-5:30 PM, 2 hours before shows starting between 6-8 PM & 45 minutes before all shows starting 8:30 or later. We recommend arriving no later than 30 minutes before showtime. Late arrivals are not guaranteed seats and are not entitled to a refund.
Please Note: The box office will be closed between shows. You will only be able to pick up tickets when the box office is open for your showtime.
- While we cannot guarantee seats together, General Admission groups should arrive at least 1 hour before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.
- Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will be automatically assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.
Please Note: We will only seat complete General Admission groups. Your group must enter the showroom together to be seated together. In addition, we do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee you seats in a specific location.
The safety and peace of mind of our guests, staff, and performing artists remain our absolute highest priority. To maintain a secure and worry-free environment inside the club, all patrons undergo a professional, mandatory security screening upon arrival, which may include electronic wand scanning, metal detection and bag inspections. We train our security team to conduct these vital sweeps thoroughly and professionally, and we appreciate your cooperation as we implement these industry-standard safety protocols to keep our community safe.
Do you have a weapons policy?
Yes. We have a strict no-weapon policy, which includes any objects that may be deemed dangerous or harmful at the discretion of management or security. Any weapon confiscated at the door may not be returned, and the venue is not responsible for lost or misplaced items. We do not permit guns of any kind except for those carried by on-duty officers. We are a private establishment and do not allow off-duty officers or private citizens with concealed permits to carry firearms into our venue. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Yes. Comedy is subjective, and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight into the expected performance.
Shows are usually between 90 and 105 minutes, although the shows actual length is entirely dependent on the headliner and what their current performance calls for.
Yes. Call our box office for more information. We encourage all patrons who have a disability to reach out to us to make accommodations.

Please Note: This includes e-cigarettes, vapes, etc.
